Prof. Dapeng Yu was born in 1959. He is now “Yangtze River Scholars” Distinguished Professor at Southern University of Science and Technology, the academician of the Chinese Academy of Science. His main interest is on the structural and physics of one dimensional materials, including: 1. The growth and characterization of one-dimensional structures, 2. The physics of low dimensional materials and nano devices; 3. High resolution transmission electron microscope. He has won the second-class prize of state natural science award in 2007. He has published 400+ peer reviewed articles with a total citation of more than 20000, and 86 Chinese patents of invention.
