Prof Youwei Du, was born in 1936. He is now the distinguished professor at Nanjing University, and the academician of the Chinese Academy of Science. His main interest is on the magnetism and magnetic materials, where he has made great contributions in the material preparation, characterization and applications. He has published more than 1000 peer reviewed articles, and been cited more than 10000 times. He has won the second class prize of state natural science award.
