AFM 2018
After the great success of AFM Conference 2015, 2016 & 2017 we are pleased to announce the fourth edition of AFM conference that will be held at InterContinental Nanjing, China from AUGUST 27 to – AUGUST 30, 2018. While choosing our venue we keep in mind availability of best possible facilities and ease of access. Like our previous venues we hope our attendees will appreciate our selection this time as well.
The Advances in Functional Materials is an annual conference started in 2015, supported by a number of universities in world. During our last events, Nobel Laureate, Prof. Alan J. Heeger, and Prof. Robert Howard Grubbs have presented their excellent work. This year we are gearing up for an exciting and informative conference with high quality programs including plenary/keynote lectures, invited talks, forums in a variety of topics, oral and poster presentations and many other social programs for over 700 participants from all around the world.
PURPOSE
The Advances in Functional Materials (AFM) prides itself on being the premier promoter of the research and study of functional materials in the world. As part of our numerous academic programs and projects, we help budding scientists and researchers present their research findings and papers at our forums.
All of the scientific conferences and forums we conduct are designed to promote the sharing of scientific knowledge, skill, and expertise. Technological and scientific literacy is at the forefront of our organization’s endeavors.
The 2018 AFM conference is the key forum to present, share and discuss issues and developments across various functional materials disciplines research to an interdisciplinary and international audience. It provides a window on the future of materials science, and offers an opportunity for researchers—from students and postdoctoral fellows, to faculty members—to exchange technical information and network with colleagues.
AFM AWARDS
Best Student Presentation Awards (BSPA):
Any full-time university student, who is the first author as well as the presenting author of a paper submitted for oral/poster presentation at AFM, 18 at Nanjing China, can apply for BSPA. Three Prize Winners (First, Second, and Third Prizes) will be selected for each of Symposium by the AFM 2018 Nanjin Young Scientist Program Committee.
AFM Young Scientist Award (YSA):
The AFM Young Scientist Award (YSA) is arranged for the first time at AFM 2018 Nanjing China; it provides a more general young scientist program in comparison with the BSPA. To qualify applications for the YSA, the applicant must be under 35 years of age on August 24, 2018, and the first author as well as the presenting author of a paper submitted for oral presentation at AFM, 2018, Nanjing. The AFM 2018 Nanjing Young Scientist Program Committee will select awardees after peer-review of the applications.

Conference participants will benefit from the opportunity that selected high quality papers that are related with the scope of Microelectronic Engineering (impact factor 1.806) or Materials Today: Proceedings Published by Elsevier are invited for submission to the journal. Review papers are also welcome but potential authors (e.g., invited or keynote speakers) are required to submit a proposal for a review paper to the journal editors for prior approval. Please include the review title, abstract, the content in bullets, a note on the significance of the review topic, and a short note on your group expertise. All submitted papers will go through the standard review process of the journals.
Microelectronic Engineering
Microelectronic Engineering is the premier nanoprocessing, and nanotechnologyjournal focusing on fabrication of electronic, photonic, bioelectronic, electromechanic and fluidic devices and systems, and their applications in the broad areas of electronics, photonics, energy, life sciences, and environment. It covers also the expanding interdisciplinary field of “more than Moore” and “beyond Moore” integrated nanoelectronics / photonics and micro-/nano-/bio-systems. Through its unique mixture of peer-reviewed articles, reviews, accelerated publications, short and Technical notes, and the latest research news on key developments, Microelectronic Engineering provides comprehensive coverage of this exciting, interdisciplinary and dynamic new field for researchers in academia and professionals in industry.
Materials Today: Proceedings
All contributors have the possibility to submit a full paper (peer-review process) which will be published in “Materials Today: Proceedings”!
Materials Today is proud to introduce Materials Today: Proceedings, a new journal dedicated to the publication of research presented at leading scientific conferences spanning the field of materials science, technology and engineering. Abstracting and Indexing is done via Scopus and Conference Proceedings Citation Index.
Materials Today is a community dedicated to the creation and sharing of materials science knowledge and experience. Supported by Elsevier, Materials Today publishes high impact peer-reviewed journals, organize academic conferences, broadcast educational webinars and so much more.
Please note:
- The contributions are peer-reviewed and the acceptance to the conference does not guarantee a publication in the Materials Today Special Issue!
- The journal does not provide Open Access!
