Gan’s research focuses on applying the power of nanomaterial and structure processing and engineering for (i) investigating fundamental light-matter interaction within extreme dimensions, (ii) developing advanced manufacturing methods, and (iii) demonstrating biomedical sensing, energy and environmental sustainability applications enabled by these unique optical phenomena. In particular, his research activities aimed to bridge the gaps between fundamental investigation, application development and technology transfer.

Professor Huan Pang
Huan Pang received his Ph. D. degree from Nanjing University in 2011. He is now a university distinguished professor in Yangzhou University. In the past 10 years, his group has been engaged in the design and synthesis of functional nanomaterials, especially for MOF-based materials. He is on the editorial board of FlatChem and managing editor of EnergyChem, Elsevier. He has published more than 200 papers in peer-reviewing journals including Chemical Society Reviews, Energy Environ. Sci., Advanced Materials, with 9000 citations (H-index=56). His research interests include the development of inorganic nanostructures and their applications in nanoelectrochemistry with a focus on energy devices.
